BREAKING NEWS: Order and Collect service has started
Library members can now email or phone the library to order the books they want to borrow. Books can be chosen from the online catalogue or members can ask the library to choose for them.
After members have ordered their books, they will be given an appointment for a specific time to collect them from a table at the door of the library. There will be no need to enter the library. When books are returned they will be ‘quarantined’ for a week before going back on the shelves.
We hope Order and Collect will be useful for all our members, particularly those who don’t use a Kindle or buy books online. We want local children to be able to borrow books again, during this long period away from school.
Order and Collect is our first step towards a return to normal service, although of course we don’t know when that will be possible. Our plan will keep risk to an absolute minimum.
This service will be on Monday afternoons, starting on Monday 15 June. We may add other days and times soon.
More details of this service including the email address are given in our letter to library members. Click the link below to read it. We hope you will enjoy Order and Collect!
