HIDDEN PLACES
Geophysics Unlocking the Remains of the Past
with Richard Bates, St Andrews University
Advances in remote sensing technologies from satellite images to geophysical scanning are enabling us to reconstruct hitherto hidden landscapes and seascapes, ritual places, dwellings and burial sites that our ancestors once used. The advances will be demonstrated through examples from recent investigations including sites at Stonehenge, in Orkney and Lewis.
