We are very excited to introduce our Spring 2025 series of talks. Once again we have a fantastic line up of speakers who have kindly agreed to support our Community Library in this way.

Talk 3 – 8 May – Peter Yeoman – Sick Picts at the May Monastery: evidence for healing, death and burial at the early medieval monastery

Peter Yeoman has directed major excavation projects, notably at Edinburgh Castle and on the Isle of May, at a time when he was Council Archaeologist for Fife.

He has also written a number of books, major excavation reports and guide books, and has a special expertise in the archaeology of pilgrimage.

During his time at Historic Scotland he was responsible for developing archaeology and research across the estate of 360 properties in State care.

Peter Yeoman is an archaeologist and cultural historian.
