A Lifetime’s Theatre Going

This exhibition is starting on Monday 13 April, running until Saturday 25 April. The theatre programmes were collected by Graham Cockburn who lived in Pittenweem between the late 1990s and 2015 when he died aged 99. He was a very keen theatre goer all his life and this collection is a glimpse of theatre life since the 1930s.

We are showing this now, as it is related to our last talk of the season, All the World’s a Stage by Rufus Norris, on Thursday 23 April.

The exhibition includes programmes from all over the UK, featuring many well known names from the world of live theatre. The wartime programmes are particularly interesting with their instructions telling theatre goers what to do in an air raid.

You can see more about this in the April edition of the Pittenweem Post.

Do come in and take a trip back in time.
