Andrew Whitley, author of Bread Matters, early leader of the Real Bread revival and co-founder and chair of Scotland The Bread at Bowhouse (St Monans), reflects on how an impulsive decision to start a village bakery in the 1970s led to a lifelong campaign to alert his fellow citizens to the adulteration of our most basic food.
