We are very excited to introduce our Spring 2025 series of talks. Once again we have a fantastic line up of speakers who have kindly agreed to support our Community Library in this way.
Talk 1 – 3 April – Lesley Glaister, novelist – Writing the War
Lesley Glaister is a novelist, poet, playwright, and teacher of creative writing – but most of all a novelist.
Lesley has taught at the University of St Andrews and is the wife of Waid Academy-educated writer Andrew Greig.
Her writing contains elements of psychological thriller, historical fiction, and suspense. Very varied and often darkly funny, Lesley’s novels are concerned most of all with voice, character and the resilience of the human spirit.
She will be talking about her two latest books, Blasted Things and A Particular Man, which are set in the aftermath of the First and Second World Wars.
