Autumn 2025 – a new series of talks!

We are once again delighted to introduce our new season of talks for Autumn 2025. We are really lucky to have another fantastic line up of speakers who have kindly agreed to support our Community Library in this way. There is something for everyone here, including an important local history anniversary, a look at the history of gold in medicine, an evening with Scotland’s Makar and murder in St Andrews – fictitious of course!

The line up is:

Talk 1 – 16 October – Dr James Grant MBE, retired GP and lecturer – MEDICAL GOLD

Talk 2 – 30 October –Marion Todd, crime writer – KILLING PEOPLE FOR A LIVING

Talk 3 – 13 November – Revd Dr Mary Henderson, local historian – THE EAST NEUK FISHING DISASTER OF 1875
and its impact on local people

Talk 4 – 27 November – Peter Mackay (Pàdraig MacAoidh), writer, teacher and broadcaster – AN EVENING WITH SCOTLAND’S MAKAR

We’ll publish details of each speaker and talk separately – see up coming posts!
